It is important to understand that removing an agent would also delete all of the data collected via that agent. That information may be useful someday for a future investigation.

Instead, hiding the agent from view, notifications, or alerts is probably the desired action.

There are two ways to do this.

The first method (bulk change friendly)

The first method is easiest if there are multiple agents that need to be hidden from the web app.

First, select the agents you desire to be hidden, from the Manage Agents page.

Normally, users will use filters based on installation status, machine name, or IP address first.

Second, select the “Bulk Set Agent Default Visibility” button.

A screen will appear, informing you which groups you have permission to change the visibility of agents.

In this case, permission is granted for the only selected group, TEMPORARY GIRAFFE 2.

Clicking “Update Selected Agents” will remove the agents from visibility.

The default setting for notifications, is to not notify if hidden agents are offline, or require upgrade. Please ensure this is desired.

The second method (single agent)

On the Manage Agents page, scroll right to the Default Grid Visibility Setting column.

Since the column positions are editable, the column may be hidden or columns may be re-ordered from the position shown above.

Toggle the Visible slider to change the visibility.

The grid will not automatically refresh, to ensure you toggled the right agent row.

Instead, a notification will appear informing of the success or failure of the visibility status.

Refreshing the page will create the desired visibility effect in the web app.
